kenya: masai dance
This sunday some friends and i took a quick trip over the ngong hills to take a visiting friend from switzerland to a place called olepolos. its about one and a half hour drive from nairobi. here the main dish is roast meat. apart from that you can have chicken, chips or ugali. thats the end of the menu. on the plus side - all the nyama choma is fresh - and delicious. so you go and order and inspect the meat and they roast it for you.
to my surprise they also had a bunch of masai going round giving personal performances - i was a bit nervous about taking pictures sine they usually go ballistic and demand huge sums of money but for some reason they didnt (and i ended up giving them a tip since i enjoyed it so much)
toward the end of the day, the sun was setting and there was a beautiful sunset over the rift valley - heres what it looked like...
